"Dad ! You're history !" It was the worst of all possible insults - to say to one's dad: "I want half the share of what is coming to me." It was the same as saying: "I want to have what would come to me if you were dead." It all changes at the end. The son returns and now the dad says: "My son here was history, he was lost and is found." I could still be history. I have to make that decision - to come back to myself, to come back to my God. The only thing is, you really do not do it on your own. (There was a hidden mother figure praying away each day, sending messages, telling people to look out for her son, and, if possible, to bring him home). Wherever I am today I am challenged to come back to my senses and say: "I will leave where I am and go back to the place where I can be at ease with my God, with myself and, with others.
