Pastoral Care

Please inform us of anyone who needs the prayers and support of the parish whether they are aged, sick, hospitalised or grieving. The Parish Office may be contacted at any time for the Sacrament of the Sick. Also, we will gladly bring the Eucharist to those unable to attend Mass due to sickness or infirmity.

Sacramental
Marriage 

Couples seeking to be married are asked to give at least three months notice. Please contact the parish office at 8389708. Find out more information about having your wedding at St. Peter's....

Baptism
Please register for baptism with the Parish Office. Baptisms take place on the fourth Sunday of the month at 3.30 pm. A period of baptism preparation is provided. For enquires about Adult Baptism preparation - contact Fr. Brian Moore, CM through the parish office.

Reconciliation
Available on
Saturdays from 10.30 - 11.30am, 12.00-12.40pm & 5.30-6.30pm and upon request at the Parish Office

 

Prayer

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament - Chapel of Adoration
Daily Tuesday - Sunday 1.00 pm - 6.00 pm

Monday (except Bank Holidays)
Evening Mass each Monday at 7.00pm followed by procession and Novena Prayers at Our Lady’s Altar

Reflection on the Gospel in Conference Room 1 at 8.00pm

Wednesday
Meditation  in Conference Room - Presbytery

Monthly Healing Service on the 1st Tuesday of each month (except Jan) at 7.30 pm

First Friday
Visitation of sick and housebound with Holy Communion

The parish office is open Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 2.00 pm. Mass Cards available.

The parish newsletter is produced every Friday. Items for inclusion must reach the parish office by Thursday morning. To view this week's Newsletter.....

Repository
The repository is located at the back of the church and sells religious publications, mass cards, religious goods etc.  The repository is run by a team of volunteers from the parish.

Phibsboro Aid
In response to the needs of the elderly, parishioners purchased houses in the locality to accommodate those unable to pay high rents or maintain their own home.

St. Peter's Luncheon Club
The luncheon club focuses on the social and physical needs of the elderly providing nutritious food and a social outlet for those who may experience a sense of isolation. Volunteers from the parish provide this service.

Radiolink
Radio Service within two mile radius of the parish which broadcasts all
masses and services to those who are unable to come to church due to illness or immobility.  For more information on this service contact the parish office at 01 8389708.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul (St. Peter's Conference) 
meet each Thursday at 8.00 pm to provide support to those in need in the parish.  The Headquarters of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is located at 97 Sean McDermott St. Dublin 1 Ireland.

Bereavement Counselling
One to One counselling service by trained bereavement counsellors can be arranged by appointment.  If you have been bereaved, if you know someone who would benefit from contacting us, or if you require further information about our services contact The Bereavement Counselling Service, Baldoyle at 353 1 8391766 from 9.15 am - 1.00 pm Monday to Friday.  They will make an appointment for you with the counselling taking place in Phibsboro. Helpful hints for the bereaved ......

Prayer Group 
The prayer group meet on Wednesday evenings in the parish centre.

Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary meet on Wednesday evenings at 8.00 pm in St. Peter's Club.  "Our works are, visiting home for the elderly, helping homeless men, women and children in Morning Star and Regina Coeli hostels, visitation of homes in St. Peter's Parish, running a discussion group for young adults".  For more information on the Legion of Mary can be found on their website http://www.legion-of-mary.ie

Ladies of Charity
Serving the needs of the poor and needy in the parish, the Ladies of Charity meet on the first Friday of each month.

Active Retirement
Meet weekly in the parish.  For information contact the parish office.

Vincentian Refugee Centre
Provides support service to Asylum Seekers and Refugees Monday - Friday 10.00 am - 5.00 pm. Tel  353 1 8102580/353 1 8389708
